OCT 2011 , Three senior couples had great visit to Italy. The tour director Annik and bus driver Luciano took excellent care of our Family of Six. The hotels were very good in Venice, Florence and in Rome. All centrally located with super buffet breakfasts. The tour guides in Venice , and Florence and Rome, were very very good. The dinners provided and the suggestions by Annik , top notch. The Vatican however should be ashamed of the lack of crowd control in the Sistine Chapel. All of the couples agreed that this trip was a great value, and highly recommend Central Holidays, Thank You , George A.

My sister and I spent three nights at the Hotel Rivoli in Florence during our December trip to Italy. We had researched hotels online through Trip Advisor and so apart from the photos available, we weren't sure what we would get. But this hotel is a true gem. It is less then a five minute walk from the main train station and within walking distance of many of Florence's historical locations such as The Duomo, Pont Vecchio and the "real" statue of David, as well as great markets and other shopping. Also nearby is an array of traditional Italian restaurants to choose from. The hotel staff are so welcoming and willing to help in any way then can. Ermalinda and Alessa on the front desk are wonderful and helped us to organise a local tour of the city on our first morning, and the other hotel staff always acknowledged us wherever we were around the hotel. The rooms are very spacious by European standards and very comfortable. Our linen and towels were changed daily and room service was prompt. The hotel also has an amazing history as a monastery so make sure you ask the staff about this. The only negative was the street noise at night, but that can't be controlled by the hotel. I'm a light sleeper anyway and had ear plugs. We definitely won't be staying anywhere else if we return to Florence, so put this hotel at the top of your list. You won't be disappointed, in fact you'll be pleasantly surprised as we were.

Family vacation (kids ages 23-28 And 2 older parents). Stayed in 1 rm of 4 young adults- got a two room suite type with 2 flip beds and 1 queen. Big for a European hotel room.
Breakfast is decent w several buffet items. Cappuccinos and coffee are served quick. Leave coins for a tip if pleased.
Courtyard was cool and the open room on the side was a place to hang w a bottle of wine at 5/6pm after a long day of sightseeing and to recoup before a big Tuscan dinner.
Location is 3 blocks from the train so not bad rolling the suitcases from there (careful at the corner). There is a nice courtyard with a decent gelateria at the end of the block. The duermo is very very close!!!! Shopping the streets is like 1/4 mile.

Stayed here for 3 nights in December 2011 and couldn't fault the place.
Rooms were beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable.
Staff from front desk to bar to kitchen were very courteous and helpful.
Great breakfast.
Hotel is close to station and about a 10 minute walk to the shopping areas.
Would definitely stay here again.
