“In no way executive or a hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Please stay somewhere else. The surrounding neighborhood is undesireable to say it nicely and you have to go through it to walk anywhere.

Our room was dark and musty, it was old and tattered and quite frankly, of questionable sanitary condition. It felt like nearly everything in the hotel was on its last legs, including things you depend on - like the stairway or your window.

I am trying not to bash a place it's clear some people like, I just would never recommend this to a friend and I would want someone to warn me before I booked it. Consider yourself warned.

“very good to avoid car”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

Good hotel close to the Ognissanti Church and the railway station of S.ta Maria Novella (200 mt far) . So you can reach Firenze by train and have the hotel and all the centre of town at a walking distance, forgetting completely car and taxis. This hotel provides very good service but not a reastaurant. Don't worry, around the corner there are a lot of different restaurants with any kind of foods, services, and, obviously, prices. Good choice for a trip of some days to this beautiful town.

“Comfortable stay, good location”

Stayed three nights in November 2011 - we got a great deal from Voyage Prive. We had a ground floor deluxe room (no. 103) which had a small courtyard garden. The room was very comfortable - king size bed, mini bar, TV. French doors led out onto the little courtyard, but also faced the street so there was some street noise. There was a hallway between the bedroom and the bathroom, which also had french doors out to the garden. The bathroom was excellent - spacious with a huge double shower with large rainfall showerheads. Nice towels and toiletries and bathrobes.

There was no restaurant in the hotel, only breakfast, which was the usual buffet style with a reasonable choice.

The river Arno was about 50 yards away at the end of the road and all the sights of central Florence within a 20 minute walk. The central railway station was about a 5 minute walk (we got the train from Pisa airport).

I'd definitely recommend this hotel as a good standard, central hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.

“Stay somewhere else!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

Sketchy neighborhood AND far from everything. The hotel is ok, nothing good to report. The shower and t.v. didn't work and we called them TWICE to fix the t.v. and they accused us of misplacing the remote. The breakfast sucked! The meat and cheese were old and the cheese had mold on it PLUS some lady paces back and forth and watches you eat. There is a bar across the street and people stay out until all hours of the night so it is hard to get some sleep. Stay somewhere else!

“Comfy reasonable hotel close to everything.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

I was very pleased when I chose this hotel from the tripadvisor comments. This hotel is very nice with reasonable rates. The room we had overlooked the river walkway. The room was roomy with a safe, fridge, airconditioning a desk and a separate table and fireplace. The bathroom was very nice with nice towels. The hotel is close to the train station and walking distance to the Duomo and many other places you would want to see. We booked the city tour with the double decker bus from our hotel. They were very helpful with our requests. There is also a lobby bar and the breakfast room is very nice with a good breakfast. We would definately recommend this hotel. It is a very nice 3 star hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for river vew.
