Lovely hotel within walking distance of all the major sights in Florence, staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and breakfast fantastic. As other reviews have said, there was a suspect smell in the lobby, but would definitely recommend the hotel

we went from 1st feb twil the 5th! weather was at its coldest -6. The first night the heating was not working- we had to ask for an extra blanket! Breakfast was lovely! The receptionist had a very bad smell to it!

This hotel is brilliantly situated. It’s next door to the Bargello and 50m from the Duomo. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Having said this, there are some truly dodgy smells lingering around every corner of this hotel. The lobby smells like wet dog and each floor has its own distinctive (dubious) odour. I presume the staff have just got used to it, like cow-pat on a farm.

Breakfast is a basic affair, but it does the job. There’s a great roof terrace with amazing views over the city.

For the price this hotel is pretty decent, they just need to sort out the pong.

I returned to this hotel for 3 nights at the end of January. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom had completely insufficient lighting (same as the last room that I stayed in in 2010). It's absolutely impossible to put make up on with a mirror that has a frosted lit strip across the face area. I don't need up lighting from under the sink. I need lighting over the sink.
The only other issue was the maid not refilling the toiletry paper (and running out) and coffees.
Still a great breakfast, nice employees and a superb location.
