I was surprised to see so many positive review of this place - it seems we had bad luck with our rooms and rated as the worst accommodation we stayed at in Italy.
The first night we stayed in room 55. It's an outdoor cabin next to the garden. It had a serious mosquito problem being on the ground floor we must have killed half a dozen after paranoid hunting and still got bitten even with the repellent plugged in and hiding under the covers. There was no heating or insulation and thus got very cold at night (autumn). The blankets, chairs and floors were grubby. We tried to beg the night staff for a heater or pay more money to move inside with an indifferent reception. Don't accept this room!
The second night we tried asking again and the owner was more receptive to a shift in rooms. We moved to another very small room (39) which still had no heating but at least the mosquitos were not so much of an issue. The walls were paper thin so the neighbouring Ariele guests talking and flushing trying to fix their loo at 2 am realized that we could indeed hear their activities after flushing our loo and quietened up! I am also not really a fan of open showers with out a cubicle. Only having a curtain (no shower tray or cubicle) gets all the other stuff wet in the bathroom. The bathroom is very small but functions.
Positive points - the location is about 10-15min to the edge of the city, it has breakfast included (fairly standard stuff). They also let us keep our bags there when were travelled to another city for 2 nights.
Other people had more positive experiences in larger rooms - perhaps if you really want to stay here it's best to have a look in the room before you accept (and avoid the above rooms!)
