If you want explore Florence with the kids it is not the best choice for you.First off all, hotel is not so close to the city center as you can reed on the Internet.Uffici is on 20 minutes not so easy walk.Staff on the reception desk always looks like they have more important things to do then have the attention to you,so they haven't time to explain to you the best way to the city center with the public transport – it is bus line C3, about two corners from the hotel (we discover that last day in Florence).Walk near Arno banks to the city center is nice and romantic if weather is nice, and without a children. We have a family room, which was spacious, but not so clean ( we found a sandwich in a drawer)...Furniture is old and not so glamorous.Bathroom is extremly small, you cant turn around your self. There is a lot off moskitos, because the river is close I , and the windows are not protected. So,you cant leave them opened, but closed windows without a AC is not so comfortable in the summer time. Off course, not everything so bed.The building and the groundfloor have a charm and are very elegant, and the best point off the hotel is a garden, quiet and tipical florentyn. Parking is in the backyard,it is actually part off the garden and there is a maximum 4 places,16 eur day.Breakfast is italian, not so great but ok.
