“Too good for words”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This restaurant was a little tricky to find, small and busy, so make sure to book a table beforehand. I got told that this restaurant was a "must go to" place in Florence by my sister and she wasn't talking it up. This was the best place i ate in all of Europe! We loved it so much we went back the next night. Great antipesto platters for starters and the pear and pecorino ravioli is to die for. The price is reasonable and the service was friendly. The staff even helped us in writing down all the good restaurants and wineries to got to in Chianti. Find it and go, you wont be disappointed.

“A Truly Special Restaurant in Florence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

This is a fabulous wine bar that has a great selection of wine and divine food. The service is top notch. Our tour guide from Taste Florence booked us a reservation and we walked in and gave them our name. They smiled and said of course and immediately brought us to our table (our tour guide mentioned that we were on our honeymoon). After that, we sat down and each got a fantastic glass of wine.

When we were there, there were two young and very attentive wait staff that were super friendly. They both had smiles on their faces even though it was quite busy. The man was our waiter and he still took the time to answer questions and make suggestions in perfect English. They gave us a free appetizer (I assume for our honeymoon celebration) and then we ordered. The pear and cheese ravioli is amazing! The balance of sweet and savory was classic, but really everything we had was delicious. This place is not pretentious and everyone is very friendly. Oh, and they also gave us free dessert! A chocolate cake that had our names in a heart written in powdered sugar. Yes, they were super thoughtful and we really appreciated them going to extra lengths for us.

I highly recommend you check this place out and enjoy the beautiful ambiance and staff that actually enjoys having you there. This was our best meal we had and we tried to get back before leaving, but were not able to.

“An absolutely lovely place--highly recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012 via mobile

We ate here twice in three days because we liked it so much. Niccolo was an incredibly friendly and welcoming host who told us all about each wine we drank. And the food was absolutely gorgeous, creative use of fresh Tuscan ingredients. Go go go!

“Two visits, and you're a friend”

We ate here twice, luckily booking ahead because it's busy. I highly recommend the goose carpaccio and the pici. Great wine list, too.

“Slightly disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor I was expecting better. Food was very average and the modern twist on Tuscan food seemed to be pandering to the tourist crowd. Service was friendly and efficient, good wine-list (if a little pricey) but the food was a let down.
