The room and bathroom were extremely small, but it was definitely worth it. You're never in your room, so this value doesn't disappoint. The bed wasn't that comfy, but it wasn't terrible. This is pretty much in the same piazza as the Duomo, and all other attractions are within walking distance. Because of this place's proximity to the Duomo, you never have to worry about not finding your way back to the hotel. The breakfast they give is pretty pathetic, but at least it's something. The only major downside to this place is the schedule the front desk keeps. There is not someone there 24/7, so if you need to check in late, you need to call ahead. Luckily, the front desk personnel is very kind.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at B&B di Piazza del Duomo in mid October. It is in an excellent location to walk to all of the sights of Florence, and comes with a peek a boo sighting of the Duomo out the window. The room was clean and spacious enough for the two of us. The bathroom was small, by US standards, but perfectly functional and adequate for us. Biggest dislike of the bathroom was that the small shower would cause the shower curtin to cling to you during your shower and for the bathroom floor to become quite wet from splashing water.
The breakfast provided was good, pretty basic though. Single cup coffee maker provided. And there is a great cafe right downstairs should you want a cappuccino or something more for breakfast.
Sabrina is helpful during your stay as well. Overall, we would stay here again based on the value of the room and the great location in Florence.

I had an amazing view of the Duomo from my window. The rooms were nice and clean and Sabrina was ok with me needing to change into a larger room with my travel partner halfway through.

This was a great disappointment for myself and my partner. The location, which was perfect, is probably the only thing I would recommend about this bed and breakfast.

Starting with the receptionist who wasn't particularly helpful and hardly ever there for when we wanted to ask any questions, to the reception area itself which had no brochures or maps anywhere in sight. This bare bones approach followed us into the room itself which was very cold and sparsely furnished.

The double bed was actually two single beds stuck together. I'm told this is the case in some b&bs (I don't frequent b&bs) but probably about 2 hours into our first of four night's sleep the bedsheet came off and we literally fell through the crack between the beds! Hilarity ensued but we had to sleep on a single bed for the rest of our stay.

Probably my biggest complaint would be the bathroom. The shower was less than 1m squared surrounded on three sides by a mouldy shower curtain. I am a very slight person and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't shower without touching the curtain. Due to the airconditioning not working on our first two nights there I wanted to shower at night to get warm. This was an unfortunately decision as both nights I went to bed frustrated (and still cold) and with huge puddles on the floor in the bathroom as I tried to soap without having the shower curtain stick to me.

If I were to go to Florence I would not choose this B&B again. A few more dollars would go a long way
