We found this hotel by chance and booked for one night but stayed for three. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were given a choice of rooms. The breakfast was varied and very good and is served in a covered, attractive, roof terrace.
This hotel is in a central location and is good value. We would certainly recommend it.

The service is what really shines at this hotel. The staff helped make our time in Taormina truly memorable. The rooms were neat and clean (ours had a balcony which was perfect for sipping wine and people watching), the location is perfect (right on the main drag, close to the center of town), and the rates were fairly reasonable (in the context of resort-town hotel rates of course). The decor was fairly neutral but warm; every floor has a theme of a citrus fruit, yet it is not overly done.

Breakfast on the roof, overlooking Mt. Etna, was both delicious and breathtaking. Again, the service there was fantastic too--I have a food allergy and the staff went out of their way to accommodate me (not always the case when eating out). There were several families there with young children, so I assume it is fairly family-friendly as well.

The woman at the front desk (Maria, I think?) tipped us off to an upcoming opera performance at the Greek ruins, helped us get the tickets, and gave us tips on how to navigate the "line" (less a line and more like a mob of people trying to get through one small gate). Seeing Tosca under the stars at the ancient theater was one of the highlights of our trip. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. I think if you book earlier than we did, you would probably be able to find some good deals on rates too.

They have a computer station for guests, and wifi (which I think we had to pay for separately). There was also a minibar, but if you go to the shop across the street (or the wine shop next door) you'd probably never need to use it.

Just one small item of warning, the marble steps that run through the hotel can be quite slippery--use the railing. There is a tiny elevator too, but it seems to be used for luggage more than anything else. Also, Trattoria Siciliana (just outside the town's main gate) was fantastic. Easily one of the best meals of our trip, and great staff too. (I still think back fondly on the sardines with roasted tomatoes). Hope this helped, and hope you have a great trip!

Excelente ubicación, y sobre todo excelente trato de los trabajadores del hotel, todos realmente pendientes de hacer nuestra estancia en el hotel lo más agradable posible. Limpio, muy acogedor, buenísimo desayuno con preciosas vistas al Etna, no se le puede pedir más. Una delicia haber estado alojados en este hotel.
