“Good location, overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

We stayed for two nights - 31st December and 1st January. The location is great - on the main street with parking (to pay for) nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was basic but OK. The breakfast was awful - on the first morning the bread was stale and should not have been put out for anyone to eat. The hotel is overpriced.

“Good location, Simple Room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

The rooms are very very simple, and the breakfast is poor. The location is great, just after the Porta Capona, upper entrance to the main street and close to the public parking. The wifi is poor. The main door of the hotel closes at 10pm, and after that is necessary to ring the bell and wait around 5 minutes to get in - which can be very annoing when it's raining or cold.

Room Tip: ask for a room with view.

“One of the 'affordable' places to stay in the old city.”

First, don't arrive in Taormina without a reservation, even in November, or you might blow the budget. Luckily, Hotel del Corso had a room for me and my traveling companion that was reasonably priced compared with the going rates. It's somewhat of a hike from the bus stop, but in a great location near the end of the main street. The room was lovely. The hotel also offers other accommodations nearby that are less expensive but don't have a lift. The staff was very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel, particularly if you're traveling on a budget. It's top-notch. It doesn't have a budget feel at all.

“Great find”

We were two couples traveling together and stayed at the Hotel Del Corso in early October. The location of the hotel is perfect - right in the heart of all that Taormina has to offer, so we could just walk anywhere we wanted to go. Rooms are nice, not extravagant. The breakfast room overlooking town and the ocean was a delight. Graziela, the owner, was the best part. She arranged many things for us, including a local cooking school experience! She was so helpful in making our stay fun and easy and just delightful to work with. We would definitely return to this hotel for any future stays.

“Friendly and in the middle of town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

Most helpful and friendly staff. This hotel is in the middle of town which makes you wonder where to leave the car but they give a discount for the main parking of town which then only sets you back 8 euro's per 24 hours.
The town is busy and full of shops, bars and restaurants and that makes it a friendly atmosphere where most of the Sicilian towns are a bit sleepy this one is buzzing with excitement. The room was smallish and the bathroom a bit cramped for the price but that goes with the location. Breakfast is nothing special but do ask for a espresso or cappuccino rather than the coffee that is ready made and waiting for guests some time. The balcony at the dining room has a nice view of the sea way down below. So have some rooms but we stayed landside.

Room Tip: some rooms have sea view but it is in the far distance, we couldn't be bothered and the rooms ab...
