This was my first visit to Scicily although I have travelled through Italia before. The hotel Sirene was the most welcoming place I think I have stayed in my travels throughout Italy (and thats saying something). Staff could not have been more helpfull and the accommodation, food & surounds were fantastic.

Some reveiws for this hotel complain of the early morning trains but as a positive it gives you an early start to wonderous days in the surounding countyside or just more time to hang about and enjoy the senery. This hotel is definitely a repeat destination on my travels.

Staff, you were all so wonderful, helpfull & welcoming. Your attention to detail and willingness to assist will not be forgotten.

We stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff are without exception brilliant, very helpful but not intrusive. We ate in the hotel and the food was really good, breakfast is also excellent. Very good value for money in this area.

We just got back from 4 nights staying in Taormina, Hotel Baia dele Sirene. First to say, this hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is great, just at the entrance in Taormina Mare, about 200 meters from the cable railway that will take you to the old town Taormina (aprox 5 minutes - 7 euros both ways). About 50 meters from the hotel you two supermarkets, and some great restaurants, especially one located on the curve on the left side of the road. OK, about the hotel, great beach location, you just have to pass a small tunnel and you`re on the sun deck, perfect place to catch a good tan. If you like more the sandy beach, you have a small stripe of sand left side of the hotel. The staff is great, they will help you with anything and they speak fluently english. The Rooms are spacious, clean, TV with italian channels, bathroom with shower. Breakfast is basic but fresh and tasty. Try to avoid the coffe at breakfast, its too light. Just ask the waiter or the person at reception for an expresso cofee and they will happily serve you. (no extra charge)
I see here some people complaining about the trains, for me it was`nt a problem, they pass not that often, and pass quickley, not making an disturbing noise. Anyway, just dont let this influence you in not staying here, you will like this place and Taormina so much you wont even notice the trains.

Myself and my husband visited Taormina in June 2009, and stayed at Hotel Baia della Sirene for one week. We were pleasantly surpised by both location, the beach, the food, staff and the price of the stay.
The private beach was great, and the waiters serve you food and drinks throughout the day.
The trains that we were worried might be noisy, we didn't hear at all.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone who are looking for a good value hotel in Taormina by the beach.
