We have just returned from a week long stay at Hotel Condor. The hotel is very close to the town center of Taormina, so there are lots of shops and restaurants very nearby. We had a sea view room, and the views from our room were great. The hotel offers breakfast on the upstairs terrace which once again gives you a great view over the ocean. The breakfasts were great continental breakfasts, and there are additional breakfast items (such as cereal, eggs etc) available as well on a self service basis. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and were able to make lots of good suggestions for restaurants, things to do, places to go etc. They also went out of their way to make our stay special, by giving us a complimentary bottle of wine on my husband's birthday. If you stay at Hotel Condor, you should definitely make use of the relationship they have with Lido La Pigna, a private beach a short distance away For a small charge you will be driven to the beach and back at a time that suits you, and can spend the entire day on the sun loungers under beach umbrellas. I would definitely stay at Hotel Condor again!

A 4 minute walk from the town centre, this hotel was a great place to stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Really good breakfast, large and very clean room/bathroom and quiet area for the perfect nights sleep.

We are very satisfied with our stay at the Condor thanks to the friendly staff and the central location in Taormina. When our suitcases were delayed in the air transport, the staff did their utmost to help us. The breakfast area on the terrace gave a pleasant view of the sea so we enjoyed even the breakfast.

The hotel has a nice terrace with plastic chairs but the beautiful view on the top of the building,and I believe this is a main reason while many people book here. Also the stuff is very warm and pleasant.
However the rooms are very poorly decorated, internet service is lousy, and if you stay more than one night while the they will clean the room and change the towels, you won't get the shampoo or soap refilled. ( you will find only one sample size bag per person upon arrival so its gonna last you just for one shower). For the price they are charging the room ( 100 Euros per night at the end of the season) I expected more. Also while the stuff would kindly serve you desired choice of coffee in the morning, I wasn't impressed with breakfast.
The view and the friendliness of the owners are the main reasons why you should book this hotel.
