Classified as a bed and breakfast, this accommodation is the equivalent of a small, boutique hotel. It's relatively new, so we were fortunate to accidentally locate Case Tuchetti on the internet, rather than in our major Sicily and Italian reference books. This lodging added immeasurably to our Taormina visit. Consider:
* An historic building withy meticulous, thoughtful renovation that includes exquisite linens, marble and antiques, and impeccable maintenance of rooms and building.
* An incredible, central location accessed by original stairway alley. (Luggage arrives via another entry. Follow owner's directions for arrival.)
* A delicious, beautifully served breakfast that includes a generous assortment of fine and unique local items and homemade baking from family recipes in a charming, airy setting with individual tables.
* A spectacular view of historic sites and sea from the spacious roof terrace, which can be used for breakfast, lounging, afternoon wine and tapa like appetizers. Finally,
* The owners, Francesca and Pino, are enthusiastic, warm, knowledgeable, helpful, available hosts, who add substantial dimension and depth to the travel experience.
Accommodations make a difference and Casa Tuchetti is a beautiful memory that prompts dreams for return.

My husband and I have just returned from Casa Turchetti. We spent 7 nights here and it is without doubt the most charming hotel we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect.

Let me start with Pino and Francesca, the owners, they are lovely - so genuine, warm, welcoming and attentive – nothing was ever too much trouble and as someone has already said here, we were treated like royalty. We felt so spoilt, we didn’t have to worry about anything – they organised our trip to Mt Etna, a day at the beach with free passes, they recommended and booked restaurants for us (only the restaurants that they eat at themselves) and at every restaurant we visited we were given the best table and treated perfectly.

Casa Turchetti itself is beautiful – with so much character and original features, the decor and the rooms so thoughtfully put together – every room is different with a mix of modern and antique luxury. Very clean (cleaned on a daily basis). We stayed in the Accademia apartment (we were lucky to be upgraded on arrival). Absolutely beautiful, you have to see it to believe it.

We had breakfast every morning on the roof terrace. A dozen different varieties of fresh local fruits, yoghurts, fresh bread with homemade jam and marmalade, pastries, home baked cakes – at least 4 different each day - delicious, cheeses, smoked salmon, and hams.

I could go on and on but I think I will run out of space. If you ever get a chance, please go and stay here. The views from the roof terrace are breathtaking, the location just perfect – right in the centre of Taormina but just far enough away from the crowds. But what makes this place so special are Pino and Francesca – so thank you both so much for a fabulous holiday.

Just back from a week in Taormina where my sister & I stayed at the Casa Turchetti. Had a wonderful week. Francesca is so warm and welcoming, she makes you feel like you're a treasured guest at her own home. The view from the breakfast terrace was breathtaking, Francesca also offered a sicilian glass of wine there at sun down! The rooms were spotlessly clean and really beautifully decorated. Location could'nt have been better. While it took about 20 - 30 min to get to the beach, the views from the cable car and action along the main strip made it a pleasure. It's right in the heart of the busy main street. With a huge variety of restaurants and bars to choose from. We loved this gorgeous guest house and would definatly return!!!

...www.zoover.nl gives Casa Turchetti a 9.9 out of 10... and tripadvisor gives an "excellent" ..."too good to be true" is what I thought when I read the reviews... curious as we were, we booked the B&B for 11 days and...OMG were they right! .
...it takes a few days to take in ALL that Casa Turchetti and Taormina have to give.
The romantic rooms with soft sheets and towels, the breakfast in the mornings... fresh fruit, and homemade cakes by Fransesca and Lucia, ALL products they serve are from Sicily, even homemade marmelade from Francesca's mother!
Pino and Francesca are the BEST hosts a guest could ever wish for. Always there and answers to all your questions about the history of Sicily/Taormina/ the Casa, area, places to visit and places to eat.
They even book the (free!) sunbeds for you in the morning. So the only thing you have to do if you want a restfull day at the beach, is walk down to the cableway (5 min. walk from the Casa tru a shopping area, so good fun to walk!) take the cableway (2 min. ride and goes every 15 min.) and you're right at the beach! ..who needs a pool? :oD
And in the afternoons... if you want to enjoy the warm breeze and breathtaking view's (sea and Etna) on the roofterrace of the Casa you can order a cool glass of wine.... served by Francesca, alway's with a smile and some bits and pieces to knibble on... and if you're lucky, she might treat you on her homemade sorbet...or Tiramisu...;o)
... could go on for hours... you'll have to see for yourself... but it IS true, it feels like paradise... and HOME!
