Words fall short in describing our stay at Casa Turchetti last October. Everything was perfect: the hospitality of Sicilian owners Francesca and Pino, the monumental building (a former music school) with its cosy rooms, the marvellous roof top terrace with splendid views over the Mediterranean and mount Etna, our daily breakfast with fresh fruits, bread, cheese and pies....
The nice thing about Casa Turchetti is that - although located just 50 meters from the busy main street - the hotel itself is very quiet.
All in all I can recommend Casa Turchetti to everyone! Downsides are virtually absent, well maybe the wifi is kind of slow sometimes... Further I can say this is not a hotel for people who prefer NOT to interact with the staff or other visitors. But if you like to experience some traditional Sicilian hospitality, Casa Turchetti is the place to be.
And if you're really lucky Francesca even presents you with homemade icecream or one of her famous pies. Especially for newly weds this is a nice hotel, because it has a very romantic atmosphere. My friend Ed and I joked we should have visited Casa Turchetti with a beautiful girl, instead of with each other.
