We stayed at this hotel in September 2010 and were a bit disappointed with the experience.
Nothing outrageously bad, but nothing special either for £100-a-night.
Staff: staff was ok, but could not speak English, so we explained things very briefly. She was not unpleasant, but not too friendly either. I guess the language barrier made things difficult for us both. The breakfast staff looked unhappy too, not a big deal for us.
Location: the hotel is five minutes walk to the beach in a rather narrow residential street.
Room: we had apartment 8, which was the PINK room, with pink tiles and walls. It felt like a little girl's room really.
The bedroom is very spacious with loads of cupboard and a comfy bed.
The bathroom has a large corner bath and a shower.
The kitchen had an electric hob and a kettle (I think), no oven or microwave. There is a sofa in the kitchen to, which is handy with a TV set. The fridge was quite noisy, we shut both doors between the kitchen and the bedroom to minimize the noise and it did not disturb our sleep. We did not managed to get hot water in the sink so got it from the bathroom to do some washing up.
The garden is fabulous, this sold it to me online. It is impeccable at all times, but we did not use it at all. If you are in a larger group and want to use the barbecue it is great I guess.
The breakfast was not that great either. As only 15-20 people stay here at any given time, so food is limited. While we stayed there croissants and Nutella run out, with no sweet alternatives apart from jam and honey.
In summary we did not enjoy our stay at this hotel, the room was not bad, but the website offered more than what you actually get. Paying £100 per apartment in mid September was not good value for money in our view. (we expected to have a balcony and we did not have one and during the day next door was working on putting on another floor, which was noisy).
