We regretted staying here – it was easily the worst of the places we stayed in Sicily.
The location is middle-of-nowhere – at least 25 mins to drive to Siracusa centre. The “reception” staff speak no English (which is fine) but are cold to the point of being rude. The rooms in this B&B are nicely decorated but are poor in standard – dark, bad smells/ insects in the bathroom. Breakfast is poor (although served by a the cleaner, who is lovely) – packs containing croissants, little to no fruit, and coffee.
Siracusa itself is ABSOLUTELY GOREGOUS! Beautiful squares, great food, scenic harbour, cute shops. Lovely way to spend a couple of days – lovely architecture too.
Noto is also a day trip away from the hotel – 1-1.5 hour drive. This is a very quiet but beautiful town. Lots of stairs to climb if you want the good views, so bring your walking shoes!
A note that the best way around Sicily mainland is by car – in 2 weeks no the island, we barely saw any buses. The exception is the Aeolian islands, where buses are pretty regular. And pack your Italian phrasebook! English is not spoken widely.
