“Lovely B&B! Outstanding hospitality. Will never forget it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

This was our first stop on our three week Italy holiday.
My friend and I were travelling on a tight budget and were so lucky to stay somewhere this nice and for so cheap!
We arrived at night and had trouble finding the place (ended up having to pay €20 for a 4 minute taxi ride because we got lost) but Riccardo stayed around and waited for us to arrive (after 11pm).
As soon as we were in the B&B we were happy. It was clean and comfortable and Riccardo went out of his way to look after us! The rooms are gorgeous!
We wished we had booked another night or two! I definitely recommend Kemonia to anyone staying in Palermo!

“Fantastic place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2010

The owner of this B & B was lovely. He took such pride in everything from the cleanliness of the rooms to the breakfast, making a trip down to the bakery every morning for fresh bread. The cost of the room was also amazingly low for Italy in August. My partner and I had a really pleasant stay.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

We had a great stay at Kemonia.Big airy room with balcony, good beds, big bathroom.Spotless clean.Restaurant at the street (around the corner from the entrance)were we could have a nice meal, near the B&B . Walking distance to city centre ,only a few minutes to the marked. Thanks to Riccardo for helping us out when we needed to rent a car, and for getting up very early and made us breakfast the day we left , because of our early flight. We have no hesitation in recomending this place. If back in Palermo ,we would defently stay here.

“Beautiful B&B in heart of old Palermo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2009

B&B Kemonia is a modern, comfortable, roomy and attractive accomodation in Palermo. Our host Riccardo was attentive and helpful. Found in an older building in a residential district, the B&B is newly renovated and nicely decorated - I particularly appreciated the roomy, modern, wonderfully tiled bathroom. It was convenient to all the sites in Palermo most could be reached by walking. The only negative is that Kemonia is a little hard to find, as its entrance is not immediately apparent once you find Via Nicolo Turrisi, better signage on the street would be a help, but then again, signage is not an Italian strong point. All in all a minor quibble for this very nice B&B.

“Great city centre location, if you want to be in walking distance to sites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 April 2009

Like a previous reviewer, we were a bit baffled to find our B&B on the 4th floor of a large building (there is a lift - taking 2 people and one suitcase). Having stayed for 5 days, I can only say that Ricardo's and Sara's service was second to none. The B&B is a 4-5 bedroom flat, well insulated and the double-glazing dampens most of the street noise of armies of Vespa drivers and the occasional ambulance. Breakfast is typically Italian, i.e. on the very sweet side, with a warm chocolate croissant and lots more. We bought a couple of savory things and eggs to have a more continental breakfast and Ricardo boiled us an egg every morning. The place is eerily quite at night, so it was easy to go along the Italian way, sleep early and get up early. We would have like a tea/coffee making facility in the room, for a nightcap cuppa - so we had to have a bottle of wine instead -). All in all I can only agree with the previous reviewers. We think they must have made some changes, since every room has now a bathroom allocated opposite of your room and bathroom sharing as mentioned before did not happen. If you do not wish to love in the bustling old city centre of Palermo, we recommend to go to Bondello (Beach) - 30 minutes out of town with a frequent no 806 bus service. Public transport at 3.50 Euro for an all day ticket per person, is a very cheap and quick way to get anywhere, including beautiful Monreal and Pellegrini mountain that you can see from the B&B's balcony. PS Take a minimum of bags, cards & money, valuables on your daily excursions. We had an experience with bag thieves, they are ridiculously fast - and we had a lucky escape. Have a nice stay anyway
