“Excelent place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2011

My wife and I enjoyed this accomodation a lot. We stayed here for 3 nights as we visited Palermo.

The location was excellent, right in the heart of the city and Riccardo, our host, was very nice.

One thing that distinguished this place among other accomodations we had in Sicily was the EXTENSIVE BREAKFAST; we appreciated this especially since we are heavy eaters at breakfast.

The pictures attached here do reveal indeed what the rooms and balconies at Kemonia look like.

“Great location in the heart of busy Palermo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

If you are planning on going to Palermo in the nearest future, and looking for a cheap, clean and central place to stay, you should definitely choose this B&B!

The B&B Kemonia is a charming "apartment" divided so each room has it's own private bathroom. We were welcomed by the very sweet, well-spoken (in English) and polite host. Our was extremely clean, and had a balcony - which was perfect as the weather was sunny and hot!
Only 5 minutes away from beautiful Teatro Massimo and the exciting Capo (market). I will be sure to recommend this B&B to all I know heading for Palermo or somewhere near.

Theres is simply nothing bad to say about this B&B, everything was wonderful.

“Nice B&B in dumpy Palermo”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2011

This B&B is a 10-15 min walk from the heart of downtown Palermo. The location is great, but only feels safe during the daytime. The B&B backs onto a large square, and you need to walk through some edgy streets to reach the city centre.

The B&B itself is lovely – 3 large rooms, facing 3 large bathrooms. All rooms are decorated nicely, with a fan, TV (no English channels), hairdryer etc. It is very clean, and prettily decorated. Breakfast is typical Italian fare: bread (lots), meat, cheese; no fruit.

Palermo, hmmm. We were not fans – it’s a dump. It’s dirty, grubby, feels unsafe, and food is terrible compared to anywhere else in Sicily. People are rude/ aggressive, and the city is completely run down. Faded glory. I would spend as little time in Palermo as possible. Sicily is stunning, with so much to offer, and Palermo is not a good showcase.

“Wonderful host, great location”

Right next to Capo markets and within walking distance of great Palermo attractions (Cattacombs - 20 mins, best restaurant Trattoria Ai Cascinari - 3 mins, Ballaro markets - 5 mins). In a very nice part of town where you feel safe.
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Double glazing on windows is awesome as Palermo's traffic can be quite loud. Private bathroom with great strong water pressure and charming fittings.
The best thing about this B&B is the host, Riccardo. He is the man!! Very helpful, goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Cant recommend this enough - fantastic value for money.

“Lovely B&B! Outstanding hospitality. Will never forget it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

This was our first stop on our three week Italy holiday.
My friend and I were travelling on a tight budget and were so lucky to stay somewhere this nice and for so cheap!
We arrived at night and had trouble finding the place (ended up having to pay €20 for a 4 minute taxi ride because we got lost) but Riccardo stayed around and waited for us to arrive (after 11pm).
As soon as we were in the B&B we were happy. It was clean and comfortable and Riccardo went out of his way to look after us! The rooms are gorgeous!
We wished we had booked another night or two! I definitely recommend Kemonia to anyone staying in Palermo!
