We stayed 5 days in Catania in CB&B centre and it was fantastic! The staff was really-really friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our trip very much. However the cleanliness was not perfect but it was not bad. Breakfast was good and plenty, coffee, cappucino was served, pastry were fresh baked. I really offer them to everybody, the center is only 10 minutes walk and Catania and the surrounding areas (Siracusa, Taormina) are beautiful.
Unfortunately the weather was rainy during the Etna tour, so we couldn't stay long, but the tour guide speaks in English as well and at the end of the tour he were smiling also, so no bad words :) Go and discover Catania and stay in there hotel it worth every penny :)

It was a pleasure to stay at Catania City Centre B&B - pretty boring name for an otherwise ecclectically decorated facility with huge, airy rooms; highly competent and friendly staff, and excellent overall service.

This is a real gem of a place to stay. The staff are extremley friendly and speak excellent English. Tours to Etna are arranged in the hotel too and they also speak excellent English and the tours are good value for money.

The hotel has large rooms which are decorated very nicely and have all the facilities you would need. Bathrooms are large, they are not ensuite but are also not shared (you have a seperate key to yor bathroom).

Location is excellent - 5 min walk to the main square. Thoroughly recommended.

The B&B staff was very kind and helpful, with city maps and guides for sights visiting. Also the location of the apartment was very close to the city center, like a 10 minutes walk.
Nearby you can find the Castle Ursino and Teatro Greco. Our apartment had all the facilities and it was situated in a decent area of the city, nearby some great sights. We booked an apartment that was in a different building then BB. The internet connection was available only in the main building so we didn't had any connection.
Nearby you can find the fish and fruits market, with very good prices and fresh products. You need to go there in the morning, until 12 o'clock, to get the pulse of the market.
