Hotel Centrale is within very close proximity to many restaurants as well as the main port in Olbia. Free parking available at the port. Decent price for the convenience.

The hotel is located right in the centre of Olbia,on the main avenue,and this allows for great sightseeing around town,shopping and eating out.The double room on the backyard was big,comfortable,and clean,though the shower cabin should be improved,since it had curtains instead of doors.and thus the water spilled onto the floor easily.The bathroom was otherwise big and with functional features.There was a mini-bar,a small but nice LCD screen with multiple (not many, but varied) channels, the internet worked perfectly and was speedy, and the staff was kind, though they should be able to give some more touristic information to guests on what to see,where to got,etc.The breakfast was the worst thing: the food wasn't that tasty and it wasn't varied,consisting mainly of croissants,bread, jams and butter.The cappuccino or coffee was served by a member of the staff at our request,which took some time, though she was very kind.We'd put this hotel in the 3-star range and not the 4-star one,but despite some negative aspects,it provided for a great stay.

We stayed at Hotel Centrale the night before we took a ferry to Sardinia (as most people do).

The Hotels was quite modernly decorated and had a nice atmosphere. We stayed in room 204 and room 105 and both were spacious, clean and quiet. The bathrooms were OK and there were enough towels. The only thing we disliked about the bathroom was that they used a showercurtain. Showercurtains shouldn't be allowed anymore in ANY hotel. They are nasty and the bathroom gets all wet...

Breakfast was nice for an Italian hotel. Most Italian hotels don's serve proper breakfast. Often times it's just a cappuccino and some toast or cereal but not in Hotel Centrale. Ofcourse there was toast and cereal but they also had some fresh sandwiches wich was a very nice touch. The staff was very polite too. They even recognized us when we stayed at the same hotel again for one night a few days later to get the ferry back to Italy.

The location of the hotel is great. Right in the city centre of Olbia, And 5 minutes from the Ferry port and 10 minutes from the airport. Olbia is a small town with not that much to do, but at night the centre is filled with people on the street and there are several bars you can hang out in.

So, Hotel Centrale > Great location and a nice hotel!
