Well, it's a 25euro trip from the airport, and although it seems to be in the middle of nowhere the hotel itself is actually very nice.
The reception staff were pleasant, the reception area is airy and clean, the bar is ok, the restaurant is very pleasant and the lounge area lovely and cool to sit in and have a cold drink when you get back in after the heat.
Our room - a double - was clean, quite spacious, and had a very nice bathroom with a shower. The view wasn't very inspiring, but as we were mostly there just to change and sleep that wasn't a problem. The aircon in the room worked - although I couldn't get it quite as cold as I would have liked! The corridors and lift were extremely hot, but the general public areas were kept pleasantly cool.
As I said - it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere, but if like us you use public transport you can catch a bus (8) down to the marina, or you can catch a QS to Poetto beach. Tickets can be purchased from the tobacconist/snack bar on the same road as the bus stops - and at 1euro each (for 90 minutes) we felt they were good value.
Not a bad place overall, but possibly a bit far from everything if you have young children or mobility problems, and like us didn't have use of a car.
