Although initially a little difficult to find, we were accorded a warm welcome. I notice that another reviewer said 'They speak mostly Italian' - that is because they are Italian!! We both speak Italian, but, I'm sure, with a little effort to learn a few words ( we British are notoriously lazy at learning foreign languages) one could get by. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Not the most wonderful area of the city, but within 10 minutes drive of the Via Roma and the Castello district. The staff were very helpful, and gave us a map with very clear instructions as to how to reach the main parts of the city. We didn't use the restaurant for our evening meal, as it was usually a fixed menu, but the breakfasts were of good quality, with plenty of variety. There is a car park which is guarded from 5pm. through the night, albeit at 5 Euros per night, but we thought well worth the expense.

We booked the hotel 'Alliance' at short notice, moving on from Nice. I would not recommend it for weekenders or holidaymakers. We got there by our hire car and it would have been unfindable if we didn't have our iphone sat nav - as they'd taken down the hotel signage so it was a pretty anonymous looking building off the 'motorway'. The hotel is nice enough, clean, comfortable, staff were very nice etc but it's more of a business hotel i would say, and it is right next to a motorway so lots of noise from that if you have the window open. We had a nightmare when we got a taxi to the beachfront for a meal and drinks - when we got in a taxi to come back none of the taxi drivers knew where our hotel was so it was quite an adventure trying to get back (as the previous reviewer says it is also known as the 'Joly Hotel' and the 'Hotel Cagliari' so just bear that in mind - or stay in a hotel down by the beach/old town...

We stayed here as we had a late arrival at Cagliari airport and needed somewhere close to stay. For that purpose it is fine, rooms are clean, breakfast was O.K, staff were friendly and about 20 euros to the airport in a taxi.
I would not recommend this hotel as a base for a holiday. The area is not very nice and no where near any attractions. Over 10 euros on a taxi to get into the centre of town. But for over night stays it's reasonably priced.
Also, beware this hotel has many different names - Hotel Alliance, Hotel Jolly and Hotel Cagliari.

I was there for 3 days in may. You pay 17 euro to get there by cab from the airport. The satff is friendly and quite comunicative, but they talk mostly italian. Breakfast - OK, rooms - OK, distance to the city center - about 10 min. by bus (line 'M' :) If you compare price and quality it is OK there.
