“Blue Iris is warm and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2008

Very comfortable, spacious rooms, clean, friendly staff - very informative, they were as informative as the tourist information centre! 5-10 min walk into the centre/ port. Has a cute garden at the back where we ate a lovely breakfast - fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, ham and cheese. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. If I ever have the chance to go back to Alghero I would definitely stay here again.

“Nice Place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2008

The Blue Iris is an excellent place to stay if you want clean rooms friendly host We stayed a week and Giueseppe is very friendly and went out his way to make you feel welcome He is proud of Sardinia and took us up the coast in his car to show us some of Sardinia's beachs The breakfast was good bu got a little boring
no toast etc We were flying back at 3;00pm but we had to take our cases with us at 12:00 so we were carrying the around for two hours. It is a good walk to beach but very pleasant so location was not a problem We had possiby the worse room with bathroom being across the hallway It was private as we had akey to lock and unlock the door but it would have been nicer if it was in the room
Bus back to the airport is excellent value be sure to always buy your tickets before getting on the bus

“Good for short stay in Alghero”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2008

A modest 3-bedroom B&B, Blue Iris lies just outside the main tourist drag - approximately 10 minutes wakl from the Old Town. Parking on the street outside was free of charge. The room we had was spacious - both bedroom and en-suite - and very clean. Host, Giuseppe, was very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was unexciting but adequate enough. Would recommend - good value for money.

“Blue Iris is the best!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2008

Blue Iris is the best B&B I've ever stayed at! I just returned from a week there.

Giuseppi, the host, treated me like a friend and is the most helpful and wonderful person to stay with. He told me all the best places to go and to eat, he took me up the coast to show me the best beaches and views. I was traveling alone and cannot say enough how his welcome and friendliness made my trip so enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend the Blue Iris.

This was also the cleanest B&B I've been in. The rooms are cleaned every day and are always immaculate. The rooms are very big - so was my bed, the bathrooms are modern and spotless. The bed was quite hard - but I like that - so I guess that would come down to personal preference.

The breakfast is excellent - plenty of choice - lots of fresh fruit, juice, cereal, great breads and local biscuits and cakes and great cappucinos!

I walked into the old town most days and strolling it only took me 15 minutes - at a decent pace it was ten. I came home every evening to change before dinner and never found it was too far. There is a beach within 20 mins walking - or hop on a bus, and a magnificent beach in about 40 mins walk (or again bus).

Overall I cannot recommend the Blue Iris highly enough.
