I am a no-fuss traveller. I have only two requirements for a room: it must be clean and it must afford a good night's sleep. This hotel met neither requirement.
The room was barely clean, the bed was so worn down it was extremely uncomfortable, the thermostat was broken and the additional blanket offered looked like a military cast-off complete with holes, the water in the shower ran brown, the drain backed up, and the towels were the material of a table cloth or bed linen. My room was connected to another by an adjoining door which was apparently not thick enough to mask the snoring and sleep-talking of my neighbor.
In the morning after eating my bread and canned-fruit which, aside for cereal, were the only breakfast offerings I was ready to tell the clerk about my stay. But of course in keeping with the standard of the hotel, she did not ask me how my stay was--I guess she knew.
