Because of an early flight,I have to stay one night in Bari on the first January , this hotel(109 euro) far from the city center is quite close to the airport(25-30 euro by taxi but it provides a free shuttle).
Our room was quite nice though many large stains on the carpet.The restaurant was closed but we enjoyed a tasty pizza in the cheap and close osteria.
Internet was too expensive and too slow:you can have 45 minutes free in the lobby.

Just to be short,
- Internet is extremely slow so forget about good communications as skype. They have two packages business and normal, the biz for 33 Euros per 24 hrs it's like dial up.
- The service has a lot to improve. The people are always in a rush so they do not have time for the customer.
- Food/room service after 11 pm does not work. So make sure you do not need anything after that time.
- They do not exchange money.
- To call for a wakeup call or any order, average waiting time is 4 minutes.
- They normally do not have recommendations on your needs so make sure you are very independent.
- Not business friendly hotel.
- If you complaint they will say "Sorry, that's the way it is"
- The room does not have the option for air fun.
- No coffe or amenities on the room so you always stuck with the 4 min waiting room service.
- When you order food make sure you are very very clear on your order.
Not recommend to stay, there must be a lot better options out there.

Okay so if you are vacationing in Puglia or Bari or anywhere in Italy I typically don't recommend US based chain hotels. But this one is an exception. It is a very nice hotel in a good location. The rooms are nice and clean and the indoor pool is excellent. I had the entire pool to myself and it was luxurious. The gym is sparse but the treadmill worked. So a long walk/run and brisk swim worked well. Breakfast was very good and atmosphere overall is very nice.

The staff are excellent very helpfull and friendly. It has no outside pool but has one 2 floors below road level. With a whirllpool sauna and very powerfull showers.
The restaurant has a limited menu and wine list as the bar area too. The surround area is busy with a spa across the road but once again pricey.
After asking the barman about places to eat the 'Osteria-Pizzeria dei Quattro Gatti' which is out the hotel front doors turn left and is about 20 yards walk is an excellent place. Very helpful with the menu, great pizza's and steaks at very reasonable prices. Must recommend the Filleto beef with a litre of house red.
But overall a hotel I would use again.
