“Superb Accommodation!”

Villa Pasini is a super place from which to see the Veneto! The villa and surrounding grounds are authentic Monte Berico treasures. The apartment we had was large, well appointed, and quiet. Regrettably, Cynthia was away during our stay but her assistant, TonTon, took good care of us and was extremely helpful with info on local attractions, directions, and general info on the Vicenza area. Be sure you have detailed instructions on how to find the villa and how to gain access to the courtyard parking area - if you don't it will be difficult locate the automatic door. Be sure to take in a sun rise from the villa's courtyard balcony - it's worth getting up for. The historic neighborhoods of the city of Vicenza are a 7 - 10 minute drive from the villa and easy to get to by car as is the cathedral and portico on Monte Berico. Be prepared to pay cash for your stay.

“A week at the Villa Pasini”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

Our first trip to the Vicenza area. The Villa Pasini provided an excellent location for visiting the Venuto region. We were without a car, so the nearby bus stop (ten minutes to the Vicenza bus and train station) was very convenient. Cynthia was very helpful and ensured that all our requests were met. Part of enjoying traveling is having a nice place to sleep that is quiet, comfortable, and pleasant. We enjoyed the breakfast and the coffee every morning. We stayed seven nights and enjoyed our day trips, but also our extra time to enjoy Vicenza. .

“comfortable rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

This is not a classic B&B - more a room let as mentioned in other reviews - breakfast can be had in your own room using your kitchenette (2 hob rings & small sink/ fridge) to prepare. The rooms are around a courtyard carpark with gates and secure parking. Your outside space is in the carpark. You dont see the villa from the area and there is no view of hills etc. from there. Rooms are simple but big and clean. You can go into the grounds to take a peak at the magnificant villa & great views and through a little wood into the vineyards for lovely panoramic views. Owner is extremely kind & knowledgeable with tips for visits & extra info about what to do/ where to visit etc.

“Excellent”

I don’t have enough good things to say about Villa Pasini. The villa is beautiful, the grounds are amazing, the location is fantastic, and the rooms are nice. What really makes Villa Pasini so special are the proprietors and the staff. Cynthia and Aldo are the best hosts I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. Their recommendations were spot on, and their willingness to help those of us with limited Italian went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. Tonton, the chef/go-to guy, makes delicious scrambled eggs and is a pleasure to deal with.

Bottom line: amazing service, wireless internet, good breakfasts, clean and extremely comfortable rooms (with kitchenettes), great location, beautiful grounds, secure parking.

A perfect place to stay in Vicenza.

“Part of Vicenza's architectural heritage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2010

This B&B helped make Vicenza a memorable part of our Italian holiday. We can highly recommend it - hosts Cynthia Rising and her husband, Aldo Cibic an internationally known architect, were very helpful and knowledgeable. It is in the grounds of an 18th century villa in a semi-rural location close to Vicenza, less visited than nearby Verona and Padua and all the better for it!

Our bedroom was large with an en-suite bathroom and attached sitting room containing kitchen facilities. Its size, the ability to park our car right outside the door, the location in an estate with a vineyard and our very obliging host made up for the room's relative lack of views - we had been spoilt for this at our previous B&Bs. Breakfast with other guests around a big circular table in the breakfast room was an opportunity to exchange travel and personal stories with other guests.

Having come to Vicenza to experience the architecture of Andreo Palladio, to be staying in a villa designed by his successor, Scamozzi, was the complete experience.

About 6 kilometres from Vicenza in the village of Arcugnano in a semi rural setting the Villa's location was ideal for us. We liked being close to Vicenza and Villa Rotunda, Palladio's masterpiece and the model for St Paul's and the White House yet also not too far to local restaurants which included Ai Colli Berici which specialsed in roast and boiled meats.
