We stayed at Hotel Aries since it was close to the US base where we needed to be for a few days. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not all spoke English, but always someone at the front desk did. Our room was pretty normal for a 3 star hotel. The floor was vinyl, not carpet. We had ample room on both sides of the bed for our luggage plus there was a luggage area in the closet. The hotel is near the highway so expect a little traffic noise. We had a little problem with the temperature in the room. The only way we could cool off the room was to turn on the heat, but set it too low to come on. During the day the window was open a bit and let in a nice breeze. Once we tried the AC, but that resulted in hot air being blown in.
We opted for the 10 Euro extra/day business rate on our room because that came with free internet. What you get is a receipt good for 24 NON-consecutive hours that you can renew as often as needed. Or you can just buy a ticket for 15 Euros. We would have saved money by not paying for the "business" room as over the 3 nights we were there we didn't use up our 24 hours of time.
Breakfast was good: muesli, a couple of other cold cereals, pastries (some prepackaged), cold cuts and cheese, fresh fruit, canned fruit, hard boiled eggs. In all, pretty standard for Europe. The lunch and dinners were disappointing. Mostly the food seemed like cafeteria food. If you have to eat there, it is tolerable, but if you can eat somewhere else go for it!
I would stay here again, but first would try for a place closer to town, or try the Hotel Victoria nearby where we had a much better dinner.
