We spent a night here recently on the way from Vicenza into the Dolomites on a warm day. At first we were assigned room 302 in the attic. The air conditioning is managed by the front desk and this room had one very, very small "fan" in the bathroom, which would never have cooled off the room. In addition, the room had a small overhead window and no other ventilation. We asked to get moved and, in spite of the clerk saying the hotel was full, we were switched to room T03 on the main floor. We asked to have the room cooled to 22C. For some odd reason, the clerk kept my copy of our hotels.com reservation and I had to get another copy from her. There is no usable wifi in the room; the soap dispenser in the shower did not work; the lightbulb in the entrance to the room was out; there were lots of scuff marks on the hall and room walls. There was feeble wifi in the lobby. The AC in the room was somewhat noisy and the fact that it could not be controlled within the room meant that it got cooler than we would have liked by the very early morning. Breakfast was generous, included in the rate, satisfactory and available early; a central table with breads, cheeses, meat, scrambled eggs, cereals, and fruits. Coffee, water, yougurt were on a side buffet table. We are not sure what would be available if you came down late. The restaurant in the hotel was closed so we went to a local pizzaria/trattoria down the road.... full of locals and inexpensive. The hotel room did have a fridge and a safe, but compared to other hotels, we cannot figure out how on earth this hotel claims 4 stars.
