Good choice for those looking for a moderately priced option in Verona. We had 2 of the 3 rooms (Regina Adelaide and Romeo e Giullietta) of this B&B for a 5 night stay. Conveniently located for shopping and restaurants and well situated for exploring Verona and nearby cities like Vicenza and Bologna, reached in under an hour by train (about a 15 minute walk to the train station / 5 minutes by taxi).
Charming hosts Giovanni and Anna live outside Verona but Giovanni was always around for breakfast and for awhile during the day. He helped us select restaurants and to order taxis if we planned ahead. We never found ourselves wanting for their presence, except maybe on Wednesday night when the entertainment in the piazza below lasted well beyond midnight. It was loud, and the only thing I didn't find charming. Other nights were quieter, but keep in mind there are 2 restaurants in the piazza below - neither of which I can recommend.
Breakfast consists of fresh fruits, yogurt and delicious breads and pastries, self service coffee - scaled down from what we are used to in Italy, but certainly adequate especially considering the size of the B&B.
Emails were generally answered in 3 - 5 days.
Also, I was celebrating a special birthday. Giovanni and Anna gave me a beautiful bottle of Amarone (regional red wine) and it was honestly the best red I tasted during my 2 week stay in Italia! While the other 3 hotels knew it was a special occasion, Domus Nova was the only one that recognized it. It really meant a lot to me.
