My father and I recently stayed at this lovely little hotel on a tour of Italy. I was very pleasantly surprised!! The central location - almost right beside the Coliseum and on a very pretty piazza beside the main shopping streets was perfect. The lobby and restaurant were pretty and comfortable. The rooms also lovely and comfortable. My bathroom was tiled from floor to ceiling in a soft pink tile and though narrow, was quite large with a spacious shower. The staff were very helpful and always available. There was internet and a computer available when I needed it and the room rate was extremely reasonable. I plan to stay here again.

Stayed at the Hotel Bologna for 4 nights in May 2011. The location is terrific - you step outside the hotel and within steps you are in Piazza Bra right at the Arena. There is always activity in the Piazza and there is a multitude of restaurants and shops. Verona is a lovely, small city and you are able to walk easily to all of its attractions.

The hotel was quite modern. The room was comfortable, a bit on the small side but that is standard in most of Italy. The bathroom was spacious and modern. The AC worked very well. Breakfast was a large buffet with a vareity of cereals, pastries, meats, cheeses, and fruits. The staff in the hotel were very professional and helpful.

Would definitely recommend this hotel as it is a good value and particularly for the excellent location in Verona.

Excellent family run hotel. The renovation of the top floor rooms is a complete success. Classy not flashy, reposing and well thought out. The perfect location, excellent service, buffet breakfast and warm welcome make this Hotel a choice property. I have stayed here many times over the past few years. Book with confidence.

We enjoyed our one night stay in a room on the 4th floor (Converted attic ?). As always, in Europe, the AC shuts down when leaving the room, which made the room very hot and it took a few hours to bring it back to the 22 C level.
The room was nicely decorated and the concierge recommended a great restaurant (apparently the Hotel a the best rizzotto in town, but we did not try it).
We paid E$189 for the one night, which we tought was a little more than it desserved.
The business center was allowed smoking and the smell was strong.
