“Good hotel for reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We arrived in the evening and found the hotel difficult to find by walking from the station, so I would recommend a taxi until you get your bearings! The Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were very good. We used the wireless facility and had no problems at all. It is a good walk to get something to eat in the evening, especially when the weather is bad, so if I was going again in the winter I would try to stay nearer to the centre, however, I would have no hesitation to stay at this hotel again.
I noticed that quite a few people said the staff were unfriendly, so I was expecting this...however, we didn't experience this at all.

Dear Guest,
thank you for your positive review!
Just a couple of details that you escaped, but that can be usuful for future guests:
1) In front of the Railway Station main entrance there is an advertising panel of our Hotels with a very very clear map about how to reach us. It is only 5 minutes walking and usually nobody find it difficult, but in case it is better to phone us and we can explain easily.
2) We have our Ristorante Pizzeria Lido, 800 metres from Hotel Martini, easily reachable with a free shuttle service to come and go, at disposal of our guest for the cold winter nights. After dinner we can also bring you to the city center if you desire.
Thanks

“Staff Unfriendly and Aloof”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

The location is excellent, close to the Porta Nuovo Train Station, and the rooms were clean but basic. However, the staff were particularly unhelpful and cold and you rarely got a smile out of them.

“Completely met expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

We stayed in this hotel for one night while visiting Verona two weeks ago. This hotel was exactly what we needed and even slightly better. It’s very close to the train station. We walked (10-15 min) from the train station. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. There is also a gym, small but had everything you need for a quick work-out. The breakfast was included and had a very nice selection.

“The Grace of Verona”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

Hotel Martini provides an efficient, relaxed and personal service. Initially the position of the Hotel doesnt look inviting by a fast flowing river channel, but in fact it is quiet and very well situated either to walk into the city centre (15 minutes) or take any number of buses from the nearby rail and bus terminus (10 minutes max), or a taxi. There is also a free evening shuttle into the centre either for dining or for the Opera.
We found many of the front of house staff took a clear interest in our needs as their guests. Breakfast was a good spread and selection, with an outside terrace if you want it. The room (a Junior Suite) was excellent with superb bathroom facilities, restrained but carefully decorated.
We loved our four days in Verona - especially wining and dining, and of course the Opera
