For the price we paid for this hotel you really couldnt complain, in fact had I paid more i still wouldnt have complained. The reception staff on arrival were very helpful, gave us a map of the island and explained how to get to Venice and around the Island, even got up from there seat to show us to our room. We had two rooms overlooking the tennis courts, the rooms were lovely very clean, nice modern bathroom with hairdryer, there was a Tv in the room, you could get sky news and mtv in english, maids came every day and did a fantastic job, we had a small balcony with table and 2 chairs. I would ask for a high floor or one overlooking the tennis courts as there are a couple of rooms on the ground floor that are right on top of the car park so not a great location. We did notice that the rooms on the top floor had huge terraces. The communal seating area in the hotel lobby is very pleasant and you can pay 1euro for 1 hours internet connection, you do have to sit in the hotel lobby though you can not get a connection from the room. The hotel swimming pool was lovely, nice comfortable sun loungers and always some available even in August peak season, the food was good too, it did get busy at lunch time and we had to wait a while but it was worth it. Breakfast in the hotel was good, standard continental although after a week we did get a little tired of it. My husband used the gym and said it was very good. The police stay in this hotel during the summer months so you will definitely feel safe, there were a lot of police on the island but no trouble, dont think they really needed as many as they had. With regards to location we had a hire car so location wasn't a problem for us, to be perfectly honest it is probably the furthest hotel from the main shopping area and ferry terminal but the island is so small it is only a quick bus journey away and the buses are very frequent. We hired bikes and cycled the length of the island and that is with a teenager who doesn't particulary like excercise. To go to Venice we got a private water taxi which cost 80euros return, that was for 4 of us, we did barter him down on the price. The car ferry from Tronchetto to Venice Lido was 38euros each way for a car and 4 passengers, so if you are taking your car dont plan to go back and forth like we did as it will cost you a fortune. We stayed on the Island for a week but thought this was a bit too long as the island is so small we ran out of things to do at the end so we stayed near Jesolo for the last night and went to Aquaventura water park which was amazing definitely the best one in Europe i have been to, also better than some in America and Dubai. The beaches on the Island are good, you do get the looky looky men going up and down selling handbags, bracelets sunglasses etc dont forget to barter with them, you can hire bikes and the main street Gran viale santa maria elisabetta has shops supermarkets and resturants, we were paying around 76 euros for a meal for 4 of us, including alcohol. If you are visiting the Island you dont really need to stay longer than 4 or 5 days and I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel, we all loved it.
