“A romantic and peaceful place 2 minutes far from Rialto bridge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

We spent 3 days in this hotel as the first stop of our honey moon. We parked our car and motorbikes (in a trailer) in a large parking lot in Fusina and we took a boat to arrive in Venise.
First impression, everything is beautiful, romantic, with the sun entering the small streets and canals, a beauty. But to find its way in such a labyrinth is not something easy.
Anyway we found our ways after 30 minutes of walk and we arrived at the hotel (better would have been to take the nearest regular boat on the grand canal, 6€ for one way, better value than 120€ for a gondola).

The hotel is placed on a little place with a church, a bar terrace, a little bridge, very cute place as you can see on the pictures of other visitors.
We are welcome by a very friendly and helpful person speaking fluently Italian, English and French, who show us our room (the pink room, direct access to the breakfast area).
The room is very nice and stylish with a fancy whirlpool, a shower behind the bed, a big bed in the middle of the room, and a ceiling with gorgeous hand-painting decorations.
The room is getting on the small place and is very quite (something you should know about Venise is that it is very peaceful and quite place after 10.00pm. So if you like nightlife and party, Venise is definitely not the place. We only found a teeny tiny bar, in a street 500m from the hotel in the direction of rialto bridge, which is offering delicious cocktails like Rhum/fresh strawberry/Basil until 2.00am. It's cold the Geneva. Otherwise you'll have to go to big hotels bars).
In the breakfast room you have a small balcony offering a charming view on the canal and the bridge which is next to the hotel. But there is only 1 table which is fitting on that balcony so make sure you are the firsts or the lasts to come to breakfast to have it. ;)

If we would have to recommend a hotel in Venise, we would definitely recommend this one. It is not too expensive (in regards with the competition, because sometimes it is really crazy).
We would also recommend to stay no longer than 3/4 days in Venise except if you are in love with basilicas and churches and you want to visit the 140 churches that Venise can count.
But it is worth it the visit, nowhere else in the world you can find a place which smells that romanticism, mystery and baroque charm.

Room Tip: The pink one was really nice.

“It could have been good, if only...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

1) have wasted time and money to create bad taste decor, like golden painted wall with red lamp, old and new framed mirrors. In one room the bathroom was behind the bed, and door wouldnt seal well, so, might want to ask your partner to step out the room if in need of privacy.
2) better trained staff, friendly, but not handling somel duties. For instance sprayed too strong cleaning product in the room, making impossible to stay, and italian guy in front desk pretended nothing happened and even suggested that tourist were so impressed by the smell that asked him to buy the product themselves. Sure....
3) climatization was too noise and not working properly
4) breakfast was too simple

Overall, its a pitty that a place that could be so much, just, wasnt. For the price paid, expected more.

“Lovely and Romantic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

What a fantastic hotel and staff. From the time we arrived we were pampered and treated as stars. The junior suite we stayed number 6 was a truly Venetian Style, red covered bed, light under the bed, floor from the old ages very well preserved and overlooking to a small canal on the site. All facilities were great, wifi excellent, the jacuzzi fantastic, the bathroom huge. Very accessible, you take the waterbus number 1, to San Stae stop (the third stop) and then you go to the right of the museum up until you find the first turn left (big bridge to the left). You pass 4 bridges straight and you arrive at a square. Boom your hotel is on the right hand side. Very easy to find but people with heavy luggage might find it difficult to carry them but is a walk of no more than 5-7 minutes. Very close everything. We loved it.

“Great Hotel, wonderful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We stayed two nights at this hotel in September, 2011. The location of the hotel was excellent. The campo was quiet and night and convenient to the Rialto without being in the middle of the crowds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a baggage issue and they were very helpful with the arrangements and the airport lost baggage staff.

The hotel and rooms were very clean. The amenities were nice. The room was large for Europe and reasonably priced. The bed was large but hard as a rock.

It was a good deal given that other comparable hotels were either sold out (and I booked 6 weeks in advance) or cost 100-500 Euro more.

I would stay there again. I have been to Venice on 7 seperate occasions.

Room Tip: We had a suite and it was nice and large

“Great Hotel for Venice”

Stayed here for 2 nights. Just a few minutes walk to the Rialto Bridge if you don't get lost and about 15 minute walk to Marks Square. Room size was very good considering its Venice. Clean and comfortable as well. Breakfast was adequate in their dining room. Its located in a small square with an ice cream stand right outside and a very good restaurant just over the little bridge. Would stay here again. Great value for Venice!
