This beautiful Hotel is perfectly located, just minutes away from St Mark's Square. When we visited last February, we arrived at Hotel Becher quite late. The person working had been waiting for us and was very friendly. I think we might have woken him up, we where really really late. We decided to go explore Venice and we had an amazing time. We were wondering the streets of what looked like a ghost town, no people, no lights, no sound...Just us. We were so close to St Mark's Square that we just happened to get there not even knowing were it was yet. What an amazing experience to get to stand in the middle of St Mark's Square, all by ourselves!!!This hotel is locked at night and you need to get buzzed in. He did not have an issue with us getting back at 4h00 am although some people might have been annoyed by tourists that keep interrupting there sleep. The rooms were very spacious, and beautifully decorated. If I ever get the chance to Return to this wonderful city, I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Becher again.

Have had trouble with booking our stay with Hotel Becher because of flight cancellations etc. and Massimiliano has been very understanding, and has had no hesitation in helping us. If this is the type of service you get when you are no doubt being a difficult customer (as we have), imagine the service you would get if you actually get to visit Hotel Becher!!! We cant wait to be able to visit one day Massimiliano! (if you will have us!) Sorry I cannot comment on the actual hotel, but I will one day.

Plush, warm, spacious room with big windows that opened right on to the canal. There were shutters for total darkness too, and a bath, which made me very happy!

The rooms are small, but thats normal for Venice. Its close to St Mark's square, but quiet. Get a room facing the canal
