Overall it's a great hotel, very well located, very clean and charming. My husband and I travel quite frequently and have been to Europe many times. I could certainly say that to European standards this was an excellent choice of hotel. Perfectly located around the corner of the Rialto bridge were the water taxi drops you off. The room was very pretty and well decorated with beautiful fresh white linen. The bathroom is all marble with double sinks it seemed like it had just been renovated, with bathrobes, toiletteries, beautiful towels etc.
The hotel is located in the heart of all the shops and cafes, and a 5 or 6 minutes walk to Plaza St. Marco. The staff was very efficient, and polite as well as very helpfull, with any questions we had. The breakfast was included and was excellent, with beautiful china and cutlery, and crisp white table clothes. The food selection was just what you needed fruits, cheeses, cerearl, croissants, danishes and the regular scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon etc and all very nicely presented . Of course espressos, cappucinos, and all kinds of teas are served as well. It's not a sumptuous hotel like the (Ritz) but on a smaller scale it's an excellent 4* with pretty rooms and great amenities. The only negative if I have to mention one is that there is no great views from the windows. All the buildings are close together, so there is no landscape views. The staff was very sweet, on our last day we had to checkout early because of our flight, they prepared us 2 breakfast bags full of food, we couldn't finish half of it. I highly recommend this hotel for quality, service, and location. Unless money is no object and you are looking for the "Ritz standart" this is a great hotel, I would recommend it to all my friends and would definetly go back.
