“Great hotel, excellent service!”

My husband and I stayed at this hotel as part of our Europe trip summer 2011. Neither one of us had been to Venice before and didn't know what to expect. We thought we'd book a bigger name like Hilton. We drove from Tuscany to Venice. After we parked the car and were getting to the hotel by boat; we thought we probably should have booked a hotel at the main island. It turned out this hotel had great shuttle boat services so getting from and to the main island was pretty easy. The hotel itself was very nice. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The bar and pool at the roof top were super cool! The staff was all wonderful. I have to especially mention a customer service person named Constance. We went to her for some info, she took the time and explained to me lots of details, like what to do, where to go; where to find some food, where wasn't as tourist-sy. She was definitely a great asset to the hotel. We booked our room with breakfast included. Breakfast was good and selection was plenty. Will definitely consider staying here next time we go back to Venice.

“So very perfect!”

I stayed here for a week during my honeymoon. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the veiw of Venice is amazing. I can only imagine how beautiful the rooftop pool must be when it is open. Everything about the hotel delivered and the free shuttle across from Guidecca, where the hotel actually sits, to San Marco square was very convenient. We did buy a water bus pass for easier travel to outlying locations. Most of the restaurants and tourist sites are on the main island but there are a few wonderful places to both eat and visit on Guidecca. Make your trip to Venice more than a day trip and stay at the Molino Stuckey!

“Can't go wrong with this Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We stayed here for 2 nights using my hilton honors points. I was a Diamond Elite member at the time so I was upgraded to a nice room with a view of the canal. The staff also left a half bottle of wine in my room which was a very nice touch to show that they appreciate loyal members.

Breakfast was good but I wouldn't pay the amount they were charging if you didn't have free coupons for being an elite member. Luckily, I didn't have to pay. The selection was extensive. There were fruits, bread, bacon, sausage, eggs (not a big fan as they were soggy), cheese, fresh fruit juice, etc.

The executive lounge was one of the highlights of my stay here. There was free soda, alcohol, and appetizers. If you've been to Europe, you'd know that soda is extremely expensive compared to the American prices. I've paid as much as 7 euros for a can of soda. Anyways, the attendant said we could bring soda back to our room. My wife and I ended up staying at the lounge after they had already closed but the attendant kept asking us if we wanted more alcoholic beverage. The service was excellent. TIP: Make sure you tip your servers well.

The location is excellent. There is a free shuttle boat that goes to a station where you can go to St. Mark's square. It wasn't crowded and the frequency often enough that we didn't wait long when we missed the boat the first time. There was no need for us to take a water taxi.

We enjoyed our stay here. We felt that 2 nights was plenty for Venice.

“not worth the upgrade”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

I booked a suite with a view for my 20th wedding anniversary. The hotel staff do their job in a professional manner. The hotel is clean and it was clearly rebuilt with quality in mind. The downstairs lobby area is very roomy although finding a trash can is a feat. The mini-fridge has sensors for everything.. if you move it, you bought it and no extra room for anything. The water busses stop about a mile on either side of the hotel and you have to walk to get there. The hotel has it's own water bus that goes to 2 sites besides the hotel and is fairly easy to catch. The hotel is so large it has it's own map. I expected a much larger room than what I was given and was disappointed with the over all experience. I am not saying to not stay there as it may be the best hotel around, but I would recommend against paying extra to get the upgraded room.

Room Tip: Having the room with the view was nice, but it's not worth the asking price.

“The Best of Venice”

The hotel is a little tricky to get to from the airport but bite the bullet and take the 120 euro water taxi...within 20 minutes of getting our bags we were at this beautiful property.

Stayed for 3 nights over new year...

Pros: we actually loved the location being that it was new years and the main island was crazy. The free shuttle is amazing and easy to use. Staff is exceptional. rooms are modern and big for europe.

cons: only issue we encountered was loud noise during NYE and the staff addressed it both during and after the stay when it was brought to their attention.

Gold/Diamond Hhonors - this hotel and city is worth the trip. executive lounge was phenomenal and breakfast was very good. went to Rome Cav afterwards and the Molino Stucky service and product was a much better experience.

All in all, when traveling back to italy, we will always make a pitstop in venice from now on. This hotel is a gem.

Room Tip: see if you can secure a room facing the water...otherwise you may be facing a courtyard
