Like everyone else who has posted lately, I'm crazy about this place. Even though it worked out to about $200 a day (winter rates) it was worth it. And worth it not just for the secluded location, good food, etc. but for the suggestions of the staff about places to eat. It's not always so easy to find really good food in Venice (especially along the main tourist routes), but they suggested a place (out of the way) that was exactly what we wanted (in our case, great fish). I've stayed in three other places in Venice and each had its charms, but this was the best. I kind of hate to say this since I don't want it to be full when I want to come back.

This gem of a hotel has the trifecta of fabulous location, truly superb service and great value. Not to mention the beautiful, understated decor and the thoughtful touches everywhere.

I'm not the kind of traveller who depends much on hotel staff for recommendations, or considers going back to a place just to go back to the hotel, but Oltre Il Giardino is just that good! Everyone at reception was genuinely so sweet and helpful that it really felt like we were coming home at the end of every day. And the place does feel like home - a beautifully decorated and clean one :-)

Thank you to everyone who made our stay so wonderful. We look forward to being back in Venice... And we won't even think of staying anywhere else!

Wonderful clean spacious room with view to garden. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great location. Best breakfast of anywhere we stayed during our 7 week holiday. Would definitely stay here next time we visit Venice.

It's so comfortable here I never want to leave, the staff are all friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and elegant and it's a joy to come back to after a long day out.
