This "B&B" is in a great location next to the Aresenale. It is one water-bus stop from Piazza San Marco. We stayed in the blue room which was very adequate. It was clean and fairly spacious for Europe. The bathroom was also surprisingly spacious for Europe.
However, I would not really call this a B&B -- there was really no breakfast. The room is stocked with supplies to make your own simple breakfast -- bread with toaster, jams, packaged treats (danishes, twinkies), juice in the fridge and a coffee maker with coffee. Our expectations were that we would be served a fresh continental breakfast, so instead we went out to a nearby coffee shop for fresher pastries.
The bed is a bit bouncy (springs) but we slept well. The room is in a quiet section of the city.
Sonia was very nice and greeted us upon arrival. However, we had to prompt her for various items -- e.g. the free tickets to the maritime museum next door. Overall, there was very little orientation or contact with her. We asked for a recommended restaurant and she referred us to a good place nearby.
This B&B is really two rooms joined to a common entrance and nothing beyond that.
So, overall, you get a clean room and good location. For us that is adequate. Just be aware that there is little beyond that if those are your expectations. Adjust your expectations and you'll enjoy Gli Angeli.
