“Small, nice, well placed, well hidden”

A pleasant bed & breakfast with few, freshly refurbished and nicely furnished rooms in style.

Reasonably priced for Venice. Personnel is helpful whenever they are available, including via mobile phone.

Two minutes' walk from Piazza San Marco and the nearby public transportation boat stops, still it can be tricky to find the first time: just call the management and they will come to meet you and walk you to the place.

We loved our stay here! The decor is typically Venetian style. The rooms are spacious and clean...but most importantly quiet and have a wonderful view of the canal. We enjoyed everything about this gem!

“A Real Gem!!!”

Our group of 10 Stayed here on our last night of a 2 week trip, and it was by far our best accommodation. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms large, modern (nicer than the hotels) and very clean.
The hotel has an authentic Venetian feel with our bedroom window next to the canal (you can almost touch the boats going by.) The breakfast was great , starting with our pleasant host offering rich Cappicinos.
Luca sent us clear, concise instructions, from the train station to the B& B. (They look lengthy when you read them, but when you arrive in Venice it all makes sense, and is not so bad.)
The area is very quiet yet close to many attractions. We felt very safe in this area (day and night).
All around a great experience. All 10 in our group Say BRAVO!

“Charming B&B, small for a family of 4”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2008

I booked a 3 night stay at Ca' Furlan alla Croce di Malta at www.venere.com (following a link from www.viamichelin.com). I searched for apartments or rooms that could accomodate a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Ca' Furlan seemed like a nice option.

Needless to say, the room was very charming, but got very crowded with the two extra beds that were placed there to accomodate the children. It was basically a regular double room. The beds were comfortable, although it was a little warm at night without any air conditioning. The bathroom was new and modern, but tiny! You had to back up when opening and closing the door.
The continental breakfast was ok, but nothing special.

Ca' Furlan can be hard to find, but is in a nice and quiet location, only minutes away from the busy area near Piazza San Marco. With the help of a map we were able to locate Ca' Furlan on our own without any problems. Water taxi would definitely be the easiest, most comfortable way to get there (but expensive).

I would recommned this B&B to other travellers, although only 2 people per room.

  • Liked — Modern bathroom, quiet location
  • Disliked — The do not accept credit cards for payment! Cash or travellers checks only. Very inconvenient!

“We agree with all the ratings”

The room was charming and the view of the little canal was fun. It's a very clean hotel, conveniently located to St. Mark's, and not too far away from a vaporetto stop. In general, we were very pleased with this choice.

  • Liked — location was excellent and rooms were clean and well decorated
