Just back after 3 nights here and we couldn't have asked for better. We had the same views as the big historic hotels facing the lagoon but without the price tag. Just a minute or so from St Mark's Square and very easy to find your way back to once you're used to not looking for a grand entrance. The doorway is easy to miss behind a souvenir stall, but once you're inside it feels personal with just the right sort of interior design to remind you that you are in an hotel in Venice. We had a top floor room with a balcony from which we took an amazing array of photographs to rival anything from the travel books. Waking up to the views and sounds of the lagoon and stepping from a draped four poster bed onto a tiled balcony with white-washed balustrades was simply magical! The breakfast is basic but adequate - buns, croissants, muesli, yoghurts, meats and cheeses - but it is probably not worth mentioning the fruit flavoured drinks on offer.
The place is lovely and clean and every worker there was cheerful and interested in passing on information to you. A great place to stay.
