For the price I paid I thought this was a very reasonable hotel. It was old but quite charming - despite the pigeon that took up residence outside my window! No canals to be seen from the window unfortunately. I found the staff to be very helpful, though, I didn't really engage with them that much. You do have to renew the wi fi every 6 hours but they were happy to just print out multiple passwords if you needed them. It was also a super quick connection. In a blazing Venice summer the air conditioning was old but did the trick and wasn't too loud. And, just to confirm the other reviews, great location - which is important if you have a big suitcase to carry over all those stepped bridges!
