Just had two nights at this delightful small hotel in Venice. Fresh, bright, spotlessly clean and very peaceful although located very close to everything you need!
Excellent eateries within minutes walk as is the main bus station (less than 10 minutes) Rail station and Vaporetto stops. If flying in and out of Marco Polo Airport the Alilaguna boat stop is less than a minutes walk taking you directly to the airport (2 services per hour) and takes around 30 minutes.
Although the hotel does not really have much in the way of public rooms, there is a roof terrace if the weather is good. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and fruit salad lovely and fresh.Coffee excellent (although you do have to pay for any extra coffee) but choice of quality teas and no limit to them.Fresh pastries, breads, cereals, cheese, yogurts etc.
Rooms spacious (we had a comfort twin) and pleasant. Bathrooms nice. We really liked the artwork around the hotel.
Staff at reception very pleasant and helpful as were any other staff we met. There are only 14 rooms so fairly quiet.
The rooms were cleaned promptly each day and all towels and bed linen changed with good quality sheets etc. and very comfortable beds.
I would definitely return to the Ca' Pozzo if I go back to Venice which I hope will be next year.
Personally I think the location, which is in the old Jewish quarter, is perfect. It's not really touristy but quite busy with locals in the bars, coffee bars, shops and restaurants. Prices are reasonable and lots of choice.
If you like to stock up on Italian speciality foods there are plenty of well-priced small 'corner-shop' style places with prices much less than the airport shops.
There is a small grocery/newsagents near the vaporetto stop that sells the tickets to the airport although you can purchase on board at 1 euro extra.
Venice is such an great city destination with easy, quick and inexpensive transfers from both Marco Polo and Treviso airports. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.
Room Tip: Probably worth having the comfort twin/doubles as the standard maybe a little small. Some rooms will...
