My fiance and I were originally booked for the Castello, but they shuffled us over to the Locanda Correr a few doors down the alley. I wish I had insisted on a room in the main hotel we booked, but at least the front desk service at the Castello was nice enough, fairly helpful - they allowed us to check in early, and had someone carry our baggage down the street and up the stairs. (Although they forgot the wake-up call I scheduled for the morning we were leaving, which could have resulted in us missing our plane, had we not happened to wake up early purely by chance.) The room is extremely small, and what looks like a large bed is just two smaller mattresses pushed together, which occasionally slide apart when you're sleeping. Other than that and the size of the room, it was pretty average, no major problems - just not as nice as we hoped.
We didn't have huge expectations because we weren't planning on being inside much. We hoped to do lots of exploring and use the hotel mainly as a home base to go back and forth from, but their key policy is frustrating if you're planning on coming and going. You must leave your room keys with the Castello front desk, so it was irritating to have to keep asking for them every time we want to get back in to change or drop off our things. Eventually the night staff told us to just keep the keys with us.
Overall it was an ok experience, good location, and everyone was pretty friendly. Just an annoying key policy, and small room.
