“nicest staff ever”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2011

just back from a short stay with my husband and 4 year old son, staff spoke perfect English, were the most welcoming, loved kids. was a 10 minute bus ride away from lido, but bus stops right out side hotel, and go every 10 minutes which my son loved. only fault is the pillows are so thin. that the only fault i have with this hotel, as it was clean, lovely location, staff made us feel at home, i would recommend this hotel to anyone, and i for one will certainly be returning.
many thanks to all the staff for making our stay so memorable.

“Lovely Hotel , Great location for peace and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

When we arrived at the Hotel we were greeted warmly by the reception staff and shown to our room, which was at the front of the hotel, it was very large with a large double bed, wardrobe, night tables and a small table with a couple of chairs the whole place was clean and of a high standard, the staff were very polite and the breakfast served in the breakfast room was well presented and much more than one would usually have in a hotel of this type and price.
It is situated in a quiet area of Lido and was just what we wanted. We will be returning in April 2011.

“Average - not the best experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

I booked the hotel and stayed there for a week with my partner. We did read the reviews before booking which gave a decent rating. Yes the breakfast was varied and enjoyable, the reception staff very helpful and the superior room large. However, the first thing that annoyed me was that I put my clothes in the drawers and pulled them out to wear later, only to find dust all over them. There was dust all over the room desks, tv and in the cupboards. Being a nurse, this did disgust me as 98% of dust is actually made up of skin cells. The cleaner probably hoovered the floor once, but did not wash the floor. The 3 chairs in the room were made out of wicker and badly needed replacing; bits of wood were sticking out and kept catching our clothes as we walked past - we ended up moving them to the corner of the room and never used them. The hair dryer was broken, the decor was jaded with yellowed fixings that were once white and some parts of the walls had peeling paper and plaster. There was a little dog that kept going on all the chairs in the reception area - the hotel allows pets, which we did not realise at the time of booking as not having any pets we never thought to enquire. Not a problem for me, but my partner started sneezing, had itchy eyes and a runny nose whenever he was at the hotel. As for the bed, I did email a month in advance and requested a double and not 2 single beds. We only had one very flat pillow each and the 'double' bed was actually two single beds. We ended up being woken in the night when turning over and almost falling down the gap when the beds moved apart! There is no central heating but a kind of heater/air conditioner that only went to 22 degrees. I don't think it worked well as the room was chilly all the time. The hotel faces a road and the noise of traffic is fairly constant. Additionally, some kind of buiding work was being carried out opposite the hotel, so having a peaceful lie in was impossible due to the sound of drilling and hammering. For 80 euros a night I think it was overpriced for what we ended up getting.
I give it 5 out of 10 as the staff were lovely and the location was seconds walk to the beach and pine forest.

“safe haven place in Venice/Lido”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 April 2010

Fantastic, affordable place to stay in Venice with the incredible view and ‘safe haven place’ to rest!
I was there during the volcano eruption in 2010/april , the ladies keeping the hotel were more then supportive and helpful. I have spent there fantastic and relaxing time apart from travel panic that happened in Europe.
The location is perfect even if you have to travel 30 min (with the vaporetto and a bus), but so much relaxing from the crowds in Venice.
