The hotel was recommended by the reservations desk at marco polo airport, walking down the main street we were excited at all the lovely hotels. We then spotted this hotel. What a dump. The reception guy was rude and simply shown us across the road and said your room is up the stairs. In the room the furniture was old and filthy, no air conditioning the beds had stains on them and the single bed looked like a converted sofa. Then we thought we'd open the window. We pulled the massive curtains back to reveal a window at ceiling height the size of a shoe box!! The room was hot and humid and smelt bad too. There was a broken plug with mosquito repellant on the scruffy table god knows what wouldve hapoened in the night, probably eaten alive. We went to complain about the cleanliness and the fact of no air conditioning and no window and he said "dirty, I suggest you go to another hotel" needless to say we did! Avoid this place at all costs.

By booking through yeego.com I got a twin room with shared bathroom for €43 a night. We stayed in room 16 on first floor which faces the street, so some noise from passing people. But nice to watch the day to day life! Sink in the room has no plug so bring one if wanted. We had a "basin wash" as the shower is on the third floor and I have mobility problems. Toilet just down the corridor cleaned regularly. Good breakfast served 8am - 10. fruit salad, cereal, yogurt, bread roll, crackers, cheese, salami, juice, fresh made coffee,tea or hot chocolate. Left our bags in reception on the last day before 10 mins walk to the bus station for 20 mins bus to the airport. We saw many people looking lost wandering around venice with baggage and loved that our hotel was so easy to find on the same road as the train station and only about 4 mins walk and no bridges!

This is a nice hotel. The room was a little small and the toilet at an odd angle but there was a television and the continental breakfast. The location is great, a 5 minute walk from the main train station and vaporetto stop. The staff are very nice and helpful and have a great deal of Venice Knowledge. If you are travelling on a budget this is a great place to stay.

You get what you pay for here. A central Venice Hotel for a good price. Pleasant staff, and an adequate breakfast. I would stay there again..
