The hotel is conveniently located behind Piazza San Marco, and handy to most places. The hotel is on the upper floor of a renovated building, and is fully modern and tastefully decorated. A bonus was that our room overlooked the canal. There is a good continental breakfast, and the staff were very helpful with directions and with arranging water transportation to the railway station. Double glazed windows mean a quiet room, and a fully-equipped modern bathroom and central air conditioning added to the comfort.

Even with the elevator, there are a few steps (less than 5) to navigate to reach reception on the second floor - important if stairs are a problem. And be sure to have an accurate, detailed map for find the hotel if you are coming from the vaporetti stop near San Marco or on foot. The hotel isn't far, but there are a few twists and turns in the narrow streets to navigate as you tote your luggage. (We found the street address wasn't enough for many locals to guide you.) If you are coming by water taxi, make sure it drops you at the canal dock a few feet from the door of the hotel.

We stayed at the Ca' del Campo for 3 nights over Christmas weekend. Overall excellent hotel! It was in a great location, about 2 mins walk from St. Mark's square, and it was easy to find. The front door is secure and you're promptly let in when you ring the buzzer. The reception is nice and big and the front desk staff are very nice and helpful- even at 4am on the day after Christmas, there was someone at the front desk in a suit ready for us to check-out.There are 4 floors which are all accessible by the elevator. The breakfast room is on the 4th floor and is very nice and well lit with large skylights. They have a lovely china set and we were offered a cappucino or a hot tea when we sat down. The breakfast was great- warm rolls and croissants, meats, cheeses, toast, cereal, nutella, jam, honey, yogurt, fruit (although not fresh), milk, and juices. Our hotel room itself was tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. If there was only thing lacking, it would be that the staff do not provide much of a "concierge" service (they really didn't have any restaurant recommendations for us on Christmas Day). I booked this hotel because I appreciated that the staff took time to reply to reviews and thank their guests for staying with them. It shows that they really care about their hotel and what people have to say about it. I thought the rate was excellent for the quality and location of this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

It was so nice and convenient to walk to St. Mark's basicila on Christmas morning, sit and have a latte macchiato in the square, stop back at the hotel to change out of my heels, walk to lunch, come back to the hotel for an afternoon nap, then go out again for dinner and a walk along the canals- the perfect day in Venice!

We stayed at Ca Del Campo for 4 nights from 7 till 11/12/2011 in a standard room on the third floor. Room was excellent spacious and furnishing modern and straight forward, also very well lit and airy, bathroom very functional with shower.

Breakfast on the fourth floor very well lit with nice views, continental buffet including sliced ham, salamis and chesses. Yogurts, croissants and extremely helpful staff. Security with Safe and always controlled entry, clean and tidy. Reception staff including the management ready to assist at all times.

Hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco and 10 minute walk from the Rialto. Also nearby very good restaurants to which all information and accurate directions was given to us by the reception staff at the Hotel.

Would recommend the Hotel and looking forward to my next visit to Venice.

Hotel was located near the San Marco Square (3 min walk) and near plenty of shops. Breakfast room was bright and open and some rooms had canal views. Breakfast was decent and room was clean, but small. Only complaint was price was a bit high for what we got, but would stay again.
