I dream about staying here again next time I'm in Venice. This is a truly gorgeous, tranquil, 5 star hotel you ever want. A hotel with corridors that larger than most rooms you ever stayed in.
Love it to bits.

San Clemente Palace is a stunning hotel on a private island in Venice. From St. Mark's Square the hotel's lovely wooden boat takes you to the property. The grounds are stunning, although it was cold when we went so the pool was closed and the gardens were not in bloom. The room was beautifully furnished and the bathroom was exquisite. The breakfast was 5 star. The staff was superb, especially the concierge. We were able to leave our luggage on the last day of our trip and return for it in the afternoon. The boat runs from early morning to late night so it is very easy to get back and forth to St. Marks. ***We made our reservation on Hotels.com and it was substantially less expensive than the hotel's own site**. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights, had a suite on the top level, incredibly high ceilings, felt a little remote at first but their ferry service to st marks etc was always available Ontime and pleasant. They had some fantastic wines in their cellar had a Chateau Margaux with our amazing meal.
French champagne on ice when we arrived, whole honeymoon booked by Amex Centruion and all their choices where amazing. Be wary of the glass tours.. Experience was great we went to but some custom champagne flutes however ended up spending abou 40,000€. Have to say we love what we purchased thought.

We stayed in the San Clemente for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I emailed the hotel when I booked & informed them of this & when we arrived we were upgraded & there was a bottle of Prosecco on ice waiting for us in our Suite! Getting the motor launch from St Marks square & out into the lagoon added to the anticipation & excitement. The hotel is massive & grande. The staff were very professional & after the first day several of the senior staff had remembered our names, addressing as Mr & Mrs. I liked this and this was a personal touch.
Our room was massive, as was the bed! My wife loved this & said she hadn't slept so well ever! So much for 25th wedding Anniversary!! The food was pricey, but no more so than eating in Venice. A nice touch to have freshly squeezed OJ & Prosecco with the breakfast buffet.
We looked forward to the motor launch rides to St Marks Square. The boats were every 20 minutes or so & some days we would return to the San Clemente for a rest, & then get the boat back for more!
A grown ups hotel I would say. Very quiet & classy. We loved our time there & would recommend spending the money on this absolute 5* luxury.
