palazzo la scala was a good hotel to stay at for a few days. On check in you do need to go to the sister hotel 2 minutes down the road however once you have your key you can come and go as you please. We had a superior double room which was very nice and clean. The bathroom although small was very clean and modern. The room was on the first first floor near the dinning room which can be a little noisey in the morning but was tollerable. The breakfast was lovely lots of choice with hot and cold food better than most european breakfasts we have had at other hotels. On the whole we had a brillant weekend and recommend the hotel

- when we arrived the hotel was closed and it was a surprise to discover that you need to check in in the next (50 mt) hotel- La Bella Venezia.
The staff there was extremely nice and helpful. TheThe whole thing was asurprise and take this into consideration. As a matter of fact it did not affect our stay even a bit- it even felt nicer to use the bigger loby and small bar

the room was very small hardly 400 sqfeet and restroom was pretty good..the best part was the breakfast with lot of variety..we paid around 180 dollars per night may be it was expensive for this hotel ..exactly located half way between rialto bridge and san marco square 5min walk ...

An inexpensive yet centrally located hotel , close to The Rialto and San Marco. Some of the rooms are very small but who wants to be indoors when in Venice? I found the Bed and Breakfast deal very satisfactory. The day and night time staff were incredibly helpful in guiding a traveller to the haunts of the local Venetians. They recommended some of the best local restaurants and coffee shops away from those frequented by tourists.On the eve of my departure,after spending a week there, the staff showed their consideration by checking,not once but three times with me as to how I was getting to the airport and recommending the most economically viable way to get there.This small hotel is clean and well appointed but it is the attitude of the staff that will remain with me.
