We stayed in as a family early Jan 2012 and found the Locanda Sant'Agostin to be well located and importantly very clean and comfortable. We were within an easy and enjoyable walk of the Rialto Bridge etc however also able to enjoy local restaurants and shopping tucked away from the main touristy areas and frequented by locals. Fantastic and would definately stay here again - perhaps in the appartment for the family as our friends did rather than in the hotel rooms.

We visited Venice for the Biennale and spent 3 nights at this hotel in November 2011 and we were impressed with the location and the room. It was so quiet we really got a good nights sleep - in fact with the shutters closed we couldn't tell if it was night or day! When we arrived mid afternoon we were greeted by an older gentleman who was very charming and recommended some local bars and restaurants where we could get a bite to eat. We thought the hotel was good value and would definitely go back. If we have a small complaint it is that the breakfast was a little unimaginative and the coffee wasn't very hot. Hot chocolate was better.

Great service and located deep inside beautiful Venice. Fully recommended!

Our only regret is we were not there longer, but we plan to return for an extended stay in the near future and are recommending it to friends with Venice travel plans. Emanuele greeted us warmly and offered fantastic advice about navigating Venice, finding a good restaurant and negotiating gondola prices (very valuable advice). Locanda Sant' Agostin location is perfect for a short walk to San Marco Plaza and the shops and the Grand Canal. A truly elegant hotel well worth the price. Breakfast was great with plenty of delicious coffee which for this American is a must no matter where we travel!
