Stayed here 3 days from December 6th till the 8th with 2 adults 2 teens and a 10 month old baby. All stayed in one room which was very spacious considering how many people was there. Was in room 20 which we found to be very accomodating and close to the dining room and reception. Was not expecting much from breakfast but was very pleasantly surprised ! nice selection of pastries, yogurts, cereals, rolls, eggs and the normal ham and cheese. Also when croissants etc was running low, they were quickly replenished.Ideal location for the beach in Lido and for the water buses to Venice. All in all,it was a very enjoyable stay and we will certainly stay at this hotel next year.

“Great Stay”

Lovely hotel in Lido, only a short water taxi trip to Piazza San Marco. This is a good place to stay if you want to be close to the main tourist attractions but also value a quiet, relaxing area.

“Quiet place but close to the action”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

We stared to look for a hotel one month before our trip to discover that very few places were available, so we settle for the Lido area. In the end it was a good decision as this is a very nice and quiet area and about five minutes walk to the vaporetto then a short ride accross the water to the tourist attractions. Contrary to my previous stay in another hotel next to a canal, the was no humidity smell. The wall are also very soundproof although they area is. Very quiet in any case.
The room was no big but comfortable. Wifi was 10 euros for the two-day stay. Breakfast was continental style and good.
The shower was a bit small and the bed a bit hard. But these are small things. Overall, it was a good stay and good value.

“Quiet, relaxing, and totally European.”

Here are some tips if you decide to stay at this hotel, which is excellent, by the way.

1. Take the water taxi to Lido... from the Venice train station, take taxi #51 (~40 minutes).
2. When you arrive, take a right out of the water taxi station and walk along the main street. It'll take around 8 minutes to get to the hotel, which is probably about the same if you take a taxi. Walk along the main street and cross a bridge. The second street on the left will be via Dandolo then take a left. The hotel will be on the right, a tall white building.
3. A few restaurants worth mentioning... Trattoria Andri (on via Lepanto) is an excellent restaurant that movie stars and locals frequent (take a right out of the hotel, cross a bridge, take a right onto via Lepanto, walk about 3 minutes and the restaurant is on the left). Restaurants at the end of the block from the hotel is good too (take a right out of the hotel, the restaurant is located on the left just after the bridge). The restaurant just before the bridge looks packed at night, probably good too.

My review of the hotel... I had a great experience. The host was very friendly and was super helpful. We received a free upgrade to a bigger room, which included a little sitting room with a sofa. The bathroom is prototypical European, super tiny but functional. The breakfast was really good, quite a variety for such a small place. The location of the hotel is very good, only about a 8-10 minute walk from the water taxi station and 1-2 minutes from restaurants / main street. Very convenient but super quiet at night. The AC worked well. Free wifi was great.

Lido Island is a 10 minute water taxi ride from Venice itself... It is quiet and seems to be more local... It is not packed wall to wall with tourists, which we loved. We didn't have enough time but I think exploring the entire Lido Island would be fun (local beach, fishing village).

“Lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

We stayed five night at this hotel and it was great. Deluxe room had plenty of room, ac worked well and there is charming tower for views of Venice. On top of all this it is an easy walk from the vaporetto and main street.

The breakfast is okay but remember Venice ships in a lot of it's food so it is mostly packaged stuff - adequate though. And why would you want a heavy hot breakfast in this heat?

Service was also great and reception is helpful.

We will return.
