We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were very helpful and friendly! We found it very convient that there is a laudromat only a few steps down the road. Our room was fine, we even had a little outside balcony, although it rained and we could not enjoy it. It is a short walk to St. Marks and the water taxi.

Family run hotel with very helpful hosts. Arranged a free water taxi to see a Murano glass factory, nice experience. Paolo and family are very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the 2 room apartment which is located a cpl doors down the street. Plenty of room for a family of four, close to amny attractions and a very Venetian experience. No views, but I don't wish to pay exhorbitant prices for such. You get your views during the day while wandering around the city anyway. A very pleasant place to stay.

Just spent 5 days at Al Piave. Run by a family for 60 years. Got lucky and had a one bedroom apartment for 74 Euro per nite solo. Wonderful people and wonderful hotel. Also, they make eggs for breakfast. Excellent. Location perfect. You may not get a big apartment in high season, but the hotel is so nice, and the management is friendly as heck.

Spent 5 days in November in Venice based at the Hotel Al Piave. We were really pleasantly surprised. It is in a great location just a 5 minute walk from St. Marks Square, and pretty easy to find. The rooms were nicely furnished, clean, and ours was quite roomy compared to the normal hotel room in Europe. (Not particularly sound-proof however as we had a family staying across the hall with a very loud child.) But, the staff were all very friendly and helpful which we appreciated greatly, and the breakfast, while simple, was nice and ample enough for all our wanderings. Would highly recommend it, great value for money.
