“reasonable hotel 10 minutes from Venice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2010

Good points:
good location in Venezia Lido near the public boat service to Venice, nice surroundings. Price seems too high but it is standard in Venice...

Drawbacks:
The room n. 21 was really incredibly noisy at morning, because it is near the kitchen. You have to wake-up 7 am anyway if you stay at the ground floor. Avoid rooms in the ground floor. Internet only if you pay extra.

“the owner places his porche cayenne before the entrance”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

The owner places his porche every morning before the entrance. So you know that your money is spent very well. Our room was very small with 1 very small window of 1m². We had a nice view on the super market. This was very noicy because they started at 6 o'clock with the suplly. The room was very dark, there was no terrace. I could get a room with a terrace for a surplus of 25 euro for 1 night. Also outside there is no seat for the guests. Every one has to stay in his room where you just have a bed. Breakfast is ok but if you want an omelette you have to pay 8 euro, an expresso coffee 3 euro... pay, pay.. pay...The bathroom is very small . The door of the shower is about 30 cm. My husband could not get in the shower.

“Charming and friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2009

We stayed at the Villa Edera for three nights whilst visiting Venice and found the hotel welcoming and charming. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made our stay a very pleasant one. The rooms whilst on the small side were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hotel's location on Lido made for a nice escape from the chaotic crowds on Venice itself. Lido has a lovely neighbourhood feel to it with the locals meeting up for Campari after work and it has several affordable pizzerias and nice speciality shops. Getting to and from the other Venetian islands is no problem with the waterbus stop a mere 5 mins walk from the hotel. I recommend buying a tourist pass as it is much cheaper than individual journey tickets. We would definitely stay at the Villa Edera again. My top tip is to visit Murano and see the glass blowers - amazing!

“Satisfactory Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2009

Good location (Lido) if you like to stay at an area less crowded. Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Lido vaporetto stop and half an hour vaparetto ride from Santa Lucia train station. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was rather small though especially the bathroom
